I’ve missed you all for the last couple of weeks but I am into the rhythm of Summer now! J
Here’s a helpful tip which may seem like a given…but you would be surprised how many teachers really don’t do it.
START PREPARING EARLY!!
Get you mind engaged with the lesson and scripture early. There are daily scripture readings designed to help us with context, background and expand our understanding of the lesson aims.
Start on SUNDAY afternoon!! Familiarize yourself with the lesson text for the following week. This will help you to identify your own strategy for study. What research will you do? What do you need to know more about? What resources do you need? Be open to the truth of God’s Word and even things he will show you in your personal experiences during the week which tie into the lesson! Remember the lesson comes to you as the teacher first! Don’t miss how God wants to cause the Word to come alive in you! It will be a great help as you share and help students to ACTIVATE the lesson!
